Campaign Story

Hello, my name is Lauren and my husband’s name is Charlie. We have a beautiful 2 year old son named, Henry who is an IVF baby.

Charlie and I have been together for 15 years and we just celebrated our 8 year wedding anniversary. We started planning a family shortly after marriage since I have PCOS and very severe Stage 4 endometriosis. As a result of my endometriosis, I have had 3 surgeries in the last 4 years starting in 2021 and the most recent one on 8/1/2024. Due to the severity of my endometriosis, I lost my fallopian tubes in 2021 and had no other option than to do IVF. 2 months after my first “endo” surgery in June of 2021, we did our first frozen embryo transfer and with great surprise, the transfer took! We have 3 more healthy embryos,

Now, 3 years later, my endometriosis is so severe that my surgical oncologist said that I cannot have any other surgeries other than a hysterectomy….. I have exhausted all of the medications that can be used to treat endometriosis and keep it at bay. Even while being on the medications, my endo has continued to spread. This means that we are on a time crunch to have another baby. Since just doing IVF 3 years ago, we had not planned financially on having another baby so soon. The cost of IVF and the medications are more than we can afford on our own in such a short amount of time, so we would appreciate any help tremendously.

We would love nothing more than to have at least one more baby until I am forced to have a hysterectomy at 32 years old and be unable to have anymore children. I come from a large family where everyone has multiple children, like my twin sister who has 5 children, and always thought I would have multiple children as well.
